endometriosis

“My name is Catherine and I am a graduate student currently on medical deferment. I have stage-4 endometriosis. I also suffer from a serious back and neck injury from a fall down the stairs. I had spinal stenosis that put pressure on my spinal cord, nerve compression from herniated discs, L4-S1, and a tear in my sacral ligament. This injury required surgery on my lumbar and sacral spine. The surgery destabilized my spine causing additional diagnoses and excruciating pain. I first saw Ashley in 2014. I had radiating pain into my chest, left arm, scapula, and hand. I was having difficulty moving my neck and I was panicked because I had an important exam to take in a few days. Through Ashley’s technique and skill, I was able to regain mobility and lesson my pain to the point that I could succeed on the exam. Recently, I started seeing Ashley on a regular basis for migraines, right hip out of joint, degenerative disc disorder, piriformis syndrome, and myofascial knots in my hip flexor from endometriosis. Since increasing my visits with Ashley, I am experiencing fewer migraines, less need for heavy pain medications, greater mobility, and more energy. I was even able to take a trip and sit in a car for an extended period of time without a resulting prolonged pain flare. Ashley not only has a deep understanding of massage therapy, she also has a profound talent of knowing her client’s body. Her work is tailored to your needs and she understands that these needs are not always the same each time you are in pain. Each session, she works extremely hard to ensure that you find relief from pain. Since meeting Ashley, she has helped me out of four pain flares allowing me to get my back to my life quicker. I cannot explain what kind of gift it is to have some respite from pain and that is what Ashley gives to her clients. As a chronic pain sufferer of almost ten years, Ashley stands out as among the best of my providers. She has become an integral part of my medical team. I recommend Tranquil Therapy to anyone that has experienced either acute or chronic pain. Ashley is the best!”
