Many people struggle with tightness in the neck and back which interfere with their daily life. Heat will not only help ease the discomfort but also helps with mood by adding some aromatherapy. I recently had a client who had neck and shoulder pain. This client's appointment wasn't for another day and needed relief fast. I recommended heat and sent over a quick video showing how to make a heating pad out of rice, cotton fabric, and tea / essential oils. This helped get through the day and is versatile enough to take on the go, all you need is a microwave. There are many ways to add heat like a hot shower or sauna and we will focus on heating pads today. Here is a video demonstrating how you can make your own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1sAMOC9CfE Feel free to add to your heat pack for an aromatherapy benefit. If you do not have a microwave add essential oils to your shower for a similar effect. Citrus is my favorite but oils like lavender and jasmine also help to calm. What I am using right now is a mixture of rosemary, grapefruit, and bergamot oils, helping to relax me after a day's work. Send me your pics after you make your own and let me know what aromatherapy blend is your favorite! Have questions comments or need to schedule? Send me an email! I love hearing from you. In health, Ashley”
